NTI – New To Industry Program

I AIM is announcing a great new career opportunity for non-experienced New To Industries (NTI) for the First Nations candidates who are interested in pursuing a career in the mines. Both Men & Women candidates will be selected.

New To Industry (NTI) will have to complete a four weeks course and that would lead them into a 12 month traineeship.

About your 12 month Traineeship

At the completion of the 4-week program this will lead into a full time 12-month traineeship. The 12-month traineeship is to kick start a career path for Indigenous people in and around Queensland with permanent employment in the Mining industry.

Requirements For Applying For I AIM

  • Must hold a current C-Class driver’s licence
  • Show proof of Aboriginality form
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Willingness to work shift work 7 days & 7 nights
  • Must pass a drug & alcohol testing

Non Experienced successful candidates will attend a 4-week training course learning the key skills & knowledge so that you are “work ready “ with learning outcomes such as, but
not limited to:

  • Operating Mining Equipment
  • Time Management
  • Learning about Traineeship
  • 2-Way Positive Communications
  • Working in the Mining Industry
  • A Blend of Theory vs Practical Training (onsite)
  • Post Training Yarning Circle:
    On the final day we all head back to camp to reflect on the 4 weeks of training talking openly about how things are going, your likes & dislikes identifying areas you may require assistance with going forward to help you transition smoothly into a career /traineeship in the Mining Industry.

 

Graduation – Completion Certificate

Our Traineeship Program will provide you with a Nationally Accredited Certificate. traineeship opportunity.

Upon course completion after the 12 months, you will receive an award for your attendance as well a formal certificate for the following subjects.

  • First Aid
  • CPR
  • Standard 11
  • Surface Extraction
