School Graduates Program
Announcing I AIM – Indigenous Australians In Mining For School Graduates For Apprenticeships & Traineeships in the Mining Industry.
This program is for the Indigenous students who are wanting to pursue a career in the Mines and who are interested & keen on learning the life of a miner. Students who would like to gain work experience in the mines while still studying at school that will eventually lead to a full time apprenticeship or traineeship in Rear Dump Truck Operators.
I AIM will be introduced to the year 11 & year 12 students at the start of their Senior year to get them prepared & work ready. Each student will be profiled individually and will receive one-on-one follow up visits and will continue the one-on-one until they feel competent in their field.
I AIM mentors will conduct school visits to the local high schools throughout Central Queensland to deliver the presentations with students in their senior phase – Year 11 & 12.
